The Katraj to Sinhgad trek is a popular trekking route near Pune, Maharashtra, that connects Katraj, a suburb of Pune, to Sinhgad Fort, a historic hilltop fort located around 30 kilometers southwest of the city. This trek is known for its scenic beauty, historical significance, and moderate level of difficulty, making it a favorite among trekking enthusiasts.
The trek starts from the Katraj Ghat, located near Katraj, and leads you through a well-marked trail uphill to the Sinhgad Fort. Along the way, you pass through lush forests and a variety of flora and fauna.
Katraj to Sinhagad or ‘K2S’ is a very popular trek in Pune district. The trek starts from Katraj New Tunnel and via K-S hills we will end trek at T junction of Sinhgad Ghat Road. Time taken for this 13-15 kms long trek is around 6-7 hrs for an individual with good fitness.
During the trek one can witness the a beautiful sunset view.
Note: We will not climb Sinhgad Fort. The trek will end at T junction of Sinhgad Ghat Road.
